Friday Exercise: Freedom 7 (2013-05-03)


Alan Shepard took a simple trip above the atmosphere. We will try to duplicate that trip using our Filing Cabinet simulation.

Using the simulation linked to this image, set up the conditions as follows:

  1. Turn OFF friction;
  2. Click on "Graph Velocity";
  3. Push the filing cabinet forward for a while, let it drift for a while, and then make it stop.

To get credit for this exercise,
  • Take a screenshot of the velocity graph;
  • Annotate it by typing FORWARD PUSH, NO PUSH, and BACKWARDS PUSH over the right section of the graph;
  • Choose file, and Submit!
